Welcome to Cookbook*ing.
Cookbook*ing is for those who, like me, love everything about a good cookbook. A good cookbook, like a good meal, is balanced in its flavors and pacing. It can be simple or complex but it satisfies all the senses: sight, taste, even touch (think of the weight of The Joy of Cooking in your hands as you leaf through its pages). I love the history, the stories, the imagery that cookbooks bring together. And so, Cookbook*ing was born.
While I enjoy cooking and believe myself to be good at it, I don’t consider myself a Chef of any stripe. Like most of my endeavors, cooking is a happy dabbling and, added to my propensity to write, it seemed natural that I would find an audience of fellow cookbook “addicts.” A cookbook, to me, is a joy unto itself, whether or not I immediately prepare a dish from its pages.
So welcome as I endeavor to feed our collective addiction with sneak peeks of new cookbooks that are coming out as well as other tasty tidbits that I hope you’ll enjoy.
